GIFit does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no
network permissions and makes no network calls of any kind — everything happens
entirely on your device.
Photos
- GIFit uses the Android System Photo Picker to let you choose photos to turn into a GIF. The app never receives broad access to your photo library — only the specific photos you select are made available to it.
- Selected photos are processed only in the app's own memory and temporary cache to build the animated GIF preview.
- The finished GIF is saved either to your device's public Pictures/GIFit gallery folder (so you can find it in your gallery app) or shared directly to another app of your choosing, only when you tap Save or Share.
- GIFit does not upload any photo, GIF, or metadata to any server. There is no server.
Data collection
GIFit does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. No usage data, device identifiers, or personal information is collected or transmitted anywhere.
Permissions
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Read selected photos (via System Photo Picker) | Lets you choose which photos become GIF frames. No blanket storage/media permission is requested. |
| Write to external storage (Android 9 and below only) | Lets the app save the exported GIF to your gallery on older Android versions that require this permission for that. |
Children's privacy
GIFit does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
